We’re starting Week 3 of our six week, 30 Day Challenge, here at SecondFIT. The challenge is to exercise 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes. We have a strong group of members who already have 10 or more gold stars for their workouts the last two weeks!
Now it starts to get tough. This is the time new habits, new intentions, start to fall through. Temptation surrounds us. Temptation to claim we’re too busy. Temptation to give in to tiredness. Temptation to treat ourselves with food and sabotage our hard work in the gym.
Jesus told Peter in Matthew 26:41:
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
How true is that? Pray, friends. Stay strong. Keep coming to the gym. Keep making yourself, your body, a priority so you can serve Jesus better, in full health and with energy.
What are some tips & tricks that help keep you active?
Here are some suggestions from our trainers:
· Workout with a buddy – it’s more fun and keeps you accountable.
· Journaling – Jot down your favorite workouts, thoughts, quotes that motivate you, etc.
· Incentives – Set smaller achievable goals and when you reach them, treat yourself to something you enjoy (a massage, new workout gear, a movie…)
· Update your workout tunes – Find some new songs that pump you up and make a playlist that helps you push through your workout session.
