About the Program

Houston Theological Seminary

Houston Theological Seminary is a new partnership between Second Baptist Church and Houston Baptist University. We are offering a dynamic new Masters level Seminary MODEL that combines the highest caliber of theological education with the most practical ministry training.

We are thrilled to announce that we now offer two graduate degrees.

The Master of Divinity is an integrated approach to Christian theological graduate education. This 72 hour degree program is focused on personal spiritual formation and practical experience in ministry settings in addition to more traditional classes in order to prepare you for serving in a church or para-church ministry.

The Master of Arts in Christian Leadership is offered as a 36 hour graduate program. Building upon the core elements of biblical and theological knowledge, the program focuses on developing your skills for serving as a leader in Christian ministry, in whatever setting God leads you.
